Geography Of Panchayath
Kondazhy Grama Panchayat is located in Talappilly Taluk of Thrissur district. This area comes under the jurisdiction of Pazhayannur Block Panchayat.
Boundaries:
North: The Bharathapuzha (Nila) river flows (across lie the Shornur and Vaniyamkulam areas of Palakkad district).
East: Thiruvilwamala Panchayat.
South: Pazhayannur and Chelakkara Panchayats.
West: Panjal and Vallathol Nagar Panchayats.
Kondazhy features a diverse landscape rich with hills, mountain ranges, valleys, and plains. It is a lush green area filled with agriculturally rich fields and rubber plantations.
The Bharathapuzha river, which flows along the northern border of the Panchayat, is the main water source here. In addition, numerous streams and ponds keep this region well-watered.
Due to the fertile soil and abundant groundwater, crops such as paddy, coconut, areca nut, rubber, and various types of vegetables are widely cultivated here.
